Qari Ahmad Bin Yusuf

Sheikh Qari Ahmad Bin Yusuf Al Azhari earned his degree in Dawra-e-Hadith with distinction in Bangladesh. He later obtained his highest degree, an 8-year program at Ma’hadul Qira’at of Al Azhar in Egypt, specializing in Quranic Science and Phonetics (Qira’at Ashara).

Qari Mohammed Siddique

Qari Mohammed Siddique is recognized as one of the best Qurra in India. He studied Arabic language, Tafseer of the Holy Quran, Hadith, and Islamic Jurisprudence at Falahe Darain Institute in India. He also studied various Qira’at under Imam of Ilmo-Qira’at Qari Muhammed Anis. Upon completion, he was chosen by his teachers to teach at the Institute and completed his Hifz-ul Qur’an while teaching. Qari Siddique is currently the head of the Tajweed Department at Falahi Darain Institute and other institutions.

Qari Abdul Majid Noor

Qari Abdul Majid Noor is a world-renowned Canadian Qari. He has participated in international Quran competitions in Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Malaysia, securing second place in the international Quran competition in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. He travels globally to recite the Quran and has been awarded the President’s Award for Pride of Performance, the highest civil award in Pakistan. He is an official reciter for Pakistan Television, Radio Pakistan, and the Provincial Assembly of Punjab. He holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Punjab.

Shaykh Moaaz

Shaykh Moaaz memorized the Jazariya with an Ijaza before the age of four under the guidance of the renowned Muqri Shaykh Ayman Suwayd. His memorization journey continued with his father, Shaykh Safwat Mahmoud Salem, until he completed it at the age of thirteen in the Sacred Precinct of Makkah. He furthered his studies with various scholars globally, receiving Ijazat from credible sources. Shaykh Moaaz holds Ijazah in the ten minor and major recitations of the Quran. He completed a PhD in Qur’anic Recitations from the Department of Qira’āt in the Faculty of Da’wah and Usul Al-Dīn at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah. He has hosted several televised programs on the history of the Quran and recitation.

Qari Abdul Basit Kazi

Qari Abdul Basit graduated from Darul Uloom Zakariya and attained his Ijazah in the modes of recitation under the tutelage of Qari Ayyub Essack. He serves as an Imam at Masjid Huzifah and teaches Tajwid and Qira’at at Jamiah Qasim Ul Uloom in Scarborough.

Shaykh Saeed

Shaykh Saeed is a familiar figure at IFT. He graduated from the renowned Al Azhar University in Egypt. He is a teacher, Imam, and Khateeb around the GTA and leads Qiyam-ul-Layl prayers during Ramadan at IFT.

Qari Ibrahim Gangat

Qari Ibrahim Gangat completed his studies in India and served as an Imam in South Africa before moving to Toronto. He now teaches Quran at various institutions around the GTA.
